Basil pesto is a flavorful and aromatic sauce made by blending fresh basil leaves, garlic, pine nuts, parmesan cheese and olive oil in Multo until it becomes a smooth paste. The sauce has a bright green color and a rich, herbaceous flavor that is both fresh and savory.
Ingredients
2.5 OZ / 75 G fresh basil
1 OZ / 25 G grated parmesan
2 TBSP pine nuts
1 TSP salt
3.5 OZ / 100 G olive oil
0.5 EA lemon
2 CLOVES garlic
Directions
Add the pine nuts to the mixing bowl and sauté for 7 minutes / 265°F|130°C to color and release the oils. While the pine nuts toast, peel the garlic cloves.
Wash and pick the leaves from the basil stems, then dry with a cloth. Add them to the mixing bowl along with the garlic and salt. Pulverize the ingredients inside the mixing bowl for 50 seconds / speed 8. Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl.
Add the oil, cheese and the juice of half a lemon to the mixing bowl. Mix well for 30 seconds / speed 4. Remove from the mixing bowl.
