This mouthwatering treat offers a perfect balance of sweet raisins and warm cinnamon, creating a truly heavenly experience for your taste buds. Each bite of our freshly baked bagel is a delightful blend of chewy texture, fragrant cinnamon, and bursts of juicy raisins.
Ingredients
5.5 OZ / 150 G warm water
1 TSP yeast
1 TBSP sugar
1 EA egg
1 TSP salt
12.5 OZ / 350 G bread flour
1 TBSP butter
1 TSP ground cinnamon
2 OZ / 50 G raisins
Directions
Add the yeast, water, sugar and butter into the mixing bowl. With the measuring cup inserted, mix for 3 minutes / 100°F|37°C / speed 1 / stir.
Add your flour, cinnamon, raisins, salt and egg to the mixing bowl. With the measuring cup inserted, knead your dough using the kneading mode for 2 minutes.
TIP: You may need to adjust the flour if your dough is too wet.
Remove your dough from the mixing bowl and knead a little more before allowing it to prove for around 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, divide your dough into 8, roll them into 8-inch (40.5 CM) strips, then roll each strip into a ring. Place onto a baking sheet and allow them to prove for 1 hour till double inside.
TIP: Make sure the rings are well sealed, otherwise they will fall apart.
Preheat your oven to 220°C / 440°F. Using a saucepan filled with water, add some salt and a little sugar and bring to a boil. Cook your bagels for 30 seconds on either side, then place them back onto the baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes till golden brown.
