A Japanese savoury egg custard dish filled with seafood.
Ingredients
6 EA prawn tails
3.5 OZ / 100 G crab stick
1 EA egg
1 EA egg yolk
9 OZ / 250 G milk
1 TSP caster sugar
1 TSP soy sauce
1 TSP mirin
0.5 TSP salt
17.5 OZ / 500 G hot water
Directions
Add the egg yolk, egg, sugar, milk, soy sauce, mirin and salt into the mixing bowl. Mix for 3 minutes / speed 3.
Roughly chop the crab sticks. Arrange 6 ramekins with a prawn and the chopped crab sticks inside. Place the ramekins on both of the steaming trays and carefully pour over the egg mix.
Add the hot water to the mixing bowl. Attach the steaming sets and cook for 20 minutes / 230°F|110°C / speed 2.
Enjoy your dish! The custard should still be wobbly in the middle. Serve while hot.
