Try this homemade, steamed bread pudding with a sprinkle of sultanas inside. What a fancy way to use your leftover bread!
Ingredients
21 OZ / 600 G sliced white bread
3.5 OZ / 100 G soft butter
2 OZ / 50 G sultanas
3 EA eggs
2 OZ / 50 G soft brown sugar
3.5 OZ / 100 ML cream
5.5 OZ / 150 ML milk
1 TSP nutmeg
17.5 OZ / 500 ML hot water
Directions
Add the eggs, milk, cream, sugar and nutmeg to the mixing bowl. Mix for 20 seconds / speed 5. Pour the mixture into a large bowl and rinse out the mixing bowl.
Butter the bread then dip into the egg mixture to allow the bread to soak up the custard. Add inside a container. Sprinkle some of the sultanas over the bread. Repeat this until all of the bread is used up. Pour over the excess custard over the top. Add the dish to the deep steaming tray.
Add the water to the mixing bowl and attach the steamer. Steam for 30 minutes / 230°F|110°C / speed 2 / stir.
Spoon out the pudding and serve with some whipped cream. Enjoy your dish!

TIP:
If you want to increase the quantity, try adding it directly to the deep steaming tray and serve from the tray directly.
