This sauce can be used for a condiment or as a great base for any apple flavored dessert.
Ingredients
6 EA green apple
1 TSP cornstarch
3.5 OZ / 100 G sugar
2 OZ / 60 G water
1 TSP cinnamon (optional)
Directions
Peel the apples, remove the core and quarter. Add them to the mixing bowl and chop the apples for 8 seconds / speed 5. Scrape down the sides.
TIP: For a smooth apple sauce, adjust the speed to setting 9 on this step.
Add the sugar to the mixing bowl. Insert the measuring cup and cook the apples for 10 minutes / 250°F|120°C / speed 1 / stir.
Add the cornstarch to a separate bowl, mix well with the water. Remove the measuring cup, pour in the cornstarch mix through the hole on the lid when it rotates. Combine the mixture for 2 minutes / 250°F|120°C / speed 1 / stir.
Enjoy your sauce! Place your sauce in an airtight container and reserve in the fridge till ready to use. It works great for apple crumble.
