A classic French shepherd’s pie made with beef and the tastiest mashed potatoes you will ever have.
Ingredients
10.5 OZ / 300 G cooked meat
1 SPRIG parsley
1 EA onion
2 OZ / 60 G butter
21 OZ / 700 G potato
10.5 OZ / 300 ML milk
2 TBSP breadcrumbs
2 PINCHES salt
2 PINCHES pepper
Directions
Rinse and dry then pick the parsley then add to the mixing bowl.
Peel and quarter the onion. Add them into the mixing bowl and chop for 5 seconds / speed 6. Use the spatula to scrape down the sides of mixing bowl.
Add butter and melt for 1 minute / 140°F|60°C / speed 2.
Sauté the onion for 5 minutes / 250°F|120°C.
Add meat, salt and pepper. Add Madeira as optional. Chop all the ingredients finely for 15 seconds / speed 8. Place to one side in a small bowl and wash the mixing bowl.
Attach the butterfly whisk into mixing bowl to mash the potatoes. Peel potatoes and cut them into 3 or 4 cm cubes. Add potato cubes, milk, salt, and pepper. With the measuring cup inserted, cook for 25 minutes / 212°F|100°C / speed 1.
Just before it has finished cooking, preheat the oven (428°F|220°C) and butter a baking dish. Remove the butterfly whisk and mix for 40 seconds / speed 4.
Add the chopped meat to the baking dish and then cover it with the mashed potatoes. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs or shredded cheese on top. Bake for 20 minutes.
Serve the dish hot from the oven with a green salad. Enjoy your dish!

TIP:
You can use any left over meat such as ground beef, pork or lamb or stewed meat. Make sure you chop it up well.
