Classic creamy hummus is a great snack or addition to your favorite meal!
Ingredients
4 SPRIGS fresh parsley
14 OZ / 400 G canned chickpeas
0.5 TSP baking soda
17.5 OZ / 500 ML water
1 EA lemon
1 CLOVE garlic
7 OZ / 200 G tahini
1 TSP salt
2 TBSP olive oil
Directions
Add parsley to mixing bowl and chop for 6 seconds / speed 8. Transfer to small bowl and set aside. Rinse mixing bowl.
Use simmering basket to drain chickpeas and add to mixing bowl with baking soda and water.
Remove the measuring cup and cook chickpeas for 5 minutes / 212°F|100°C / speed 1 / stir. Drain chickpeas through simmering basket and let cool slightly.
Zest lemon into mixing bowl, then cut in half and squeeze juice into mixing bowl through fine mesh sieve. Peel garlic and add to mixing bowl. Add tahini to mixing bowl.
Blend for 1 minute / speed 8. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula.
Add cooled chickpeas, salt and olive oil to mixing bowl. Blend for 2 minutes / speed 6.

TIPS:
Garnish with olive oil, parsley, salt and pepper.
Add different spices to change up theflavor, like cumin or chili powder.
Use hummus as a base for cooked vegetables or spread on a sandwich for a hearty filling.
