Ingredients
7 OZ / 200 G all purpose flour
2 TBSP cornstarch
1 TBSP granulated sugar
1 TSP yeast
1.5 TSP baking powder
4.5 OZ / 125 ML warm water
1 TBSP vegetable oil
17.5 OZ / 500 ML water
Directions
Add flour, cornstarch, sugar, yeast and baking powder to the mixing bowl. Mix for 30 seconds / speed 2 / stir.
Add your warm water and vegetable oil to the mixing bowl. Mix using the knead mode for 45 seconds. Once done remove from mixing bowl and allow to prove for one hour.
Roll your dough into a rectangle, around 1 or 2-inch in thickness. Gently fold the dough into half lengthways 3 times, then roll it into a sausage. Cut it into 1-inch pieces. Brush the steaming trays with a little oil, then evenly distribute the buns across the deep and shallow steaming tray. Put the lid on and let rise for 30 minutes.
Add your water into the mixing bowl and attach the steaming trays. Steam your buns for 10 minutes. Once done, carefully remove them and serve.
