Red onion caramelized in brown sugar is such a great combination to your pizza, pasta, or any main dish.
Ingredients
4 EA red onion
3 TBSP balsamic vinegar
3 TBSP brown sugar
0.5 TSP salt
3 TBSP olive oil
Directions
Peel your onion and roughly chop, then add your onions to the mixing bowl. Chop for 6 seconds / speed 5. Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl.
Add your sugar, oil, salt and vinegar to the mixing bowl. Cook your onions with the measuring cup removed for 30 minutes / 230°F|110°C / speed 2 / stir. Remove your onions from the mixing bowl and allow them to cool before serving.

You can either use yellow or red onions for this recipe.
