Create your own classic stuffing with bread, vegetables and aromatic herbs for the Thanksgiving feast and have everything ready in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients
1 EA large loaf of bread
3 STALKS celery
1 EA yellow onion (large)
1 OZ / 25 G sage
1 OZ / 25 G parsley
0.5 OZ / 15 G thyme
1 EA egg
4.5 OZ / 125 G butter
3.5 OZ / 100 ML chicken / turkey broth
1 TSP salt
1 TSP black pepper
Directions
Preheat your oven to 200°C / 410°F. Cut your bread into 0.5 inch cubes and lay them onto a sheet pan. Place them into the oven and cook for 8 minutes till golden.
Add your parsley, thyme and sage to the mixing bowl and chop your herbs for 10 seconds / speed 8. Once chopped, remove the herbs into a small bowl and reserve for later. Clean out the mixing bowl.
Peel and roughly chop your onion, then add to the mixing bowl along with your chopped celery. Chop your mix for 10 seconds / speed 5. Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl.
Add your butter to the mixing bowl, then cook your onion and celery till soft for 7 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl.
Add your toasted bread, egg, broth, chopped herbs, salt and pepper to the mixing bowl. Combine your mix for 30 seconds / speed 1 / stir. Empty the mix into an oven-proof dish and bake in the already-preheated oven for 20 minutes till crispy on the top.
