This Indian cuisine will make you drooling with brown lentils, tomatoes and aromatic spices! You can eat this vegan-friendly lentil dahl with rice, bread or quinoa. We tried to keep this one-pot recipe very easy for you, so that you can just add all your prepared ingredients into the Multo!
Ingredients
2 CLOVE garlic
2 TSP cumin seeds
2 TBSP olive oil
1 TBSP turmeric powder
2 TSP ground cumin
0.5 EA fresh ginger
7 OZ / 200 G brown lentils
1 EA carrot
1 EA red bell pepper
1 TSP coriander ground
1 TSP chili flakes
14 OZ / 400 G canned tomatoes
0.5 EA lemon juice
24.5 OZ / 700 ML vegetable stock
3.5 OZ / 100 G onion (red)
1 PINCH salt
1 PINCH pepper
Directions
Peel the carrot and roughly chop it into small pieces and add to the mixing bowl. Chop with turbo mode for 5 seconds. Use a spatula to scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl.
Peel garlic and ginger. Quarter and de-seed red bell pepper, then peel and quarter the onion. Add them to the mixing bowl and chop for 5 seconds using the turbo mode.
Add cumin seeds, ground cumin, ground coriander, chili flakes, and olive oil. Sauté using the sauté mode for 5 minutes / 250°F|120°C.
Wash the lentils. Add your lentils, tomatoes and vegetable stock. Cook with the measuring cup inserted for 35 minutes / 250°F|120°C / speed 1. If necessary, cook for 5 more minutes.
Add lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix for 1 minute / speed 1 / stir.
