Super simple, yet utterly delicious squash side dish is the perfect accompaniment to curries, chilis and tagines.
Ingredients
21 OZ / 600 G butternut squash
2 TBSP cumin seeds
0.5 OZ / 20 G olive oil
1 PINCH salt
1 PINCH pepper
Directions
Add the cumin and toast to release the flavors for 2 minutes / 265°F|130°C.
Remove the seeds of squash and slice into strips. Add to a large bowl with the toasted cumin seeds, oil and seasoning. Divide between the deep steaming tray and shallow steamer tray.
Add water to the mixing bowl, attach both steaming trays, steam for 15 minutes. Once cooked serve on the side of a meal.
